Capital Tonight Interview on the Budget

On Monday, Rep. Howard appeared on Capital Tonight to discuss the differing House and Senate proposals for the state budget. One of the main differences is the House's plan to tap into the Economic Stabilization Fund to make up for a shortfall in available state revenue.

She also got to plug her HJR 27, which would require the state to pay at least half the cost of public education and take some of the strain off of local property taxes. HJR 27 is currently awaiting a hearing before the House Appropriations Committee.
