Brianna Rodriguez
Brianna Rodriguez, a Houston native, is currently a senior at The University of Texas at Austin studying journalism and government. Her interests include criminal justice reform, fostering animals, and avoiding I-35 from 5-7 P.M. Before joining Team Howard, Brianna interned in newsrooms in London and Austin as well as with the Texas Democratic Party.

Elisa Santana is currently a master’s student at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. Previously, she attended Northwestern University, where she majored in journalism. Elisa has a passion for public service and policy. She spent four years in Washington as a key staffer to Congressman Lloyd Doggett. In April 2016, Elisa was awarded the German Chancellor Fellowship. Over the course of 17 months in Germany, she researched migration policy and law. Most recently, Elisa was the Communications Director for Texas State Senator Sylvia Garcia’s successful congressional primary campaign. A proud Texan, Elisa enjoys running, spending time with her family, and traveling.
